Android smartphones are gaining popularity at a tremendous pace. Many of us welcome the versatility that the platform offers. The Android app market is booming like never before. There are tons of apps available on the play store for almost all of them. Android users need help downloading their favorite app or game. Error code DF-DLA-15 is shown to users while downloading or updating apps.
Android Apps Store Google Play Store is the most complete and secure in the entire network, in general, a constantly updated and optimized store, but this does not mean that it does not present some errors when you try to download or update an app. In addition, when there is an error in the Google Play Store, there are very simple problems to solve, although there are many types of your Android devices with types in their operating system, they are practically the same to solve the errors. One of these Google Play Store bugs is DF-DLA-15, and we’ll show you how to fix it. We will try and help you with methods that will help you fix the DF-DLA-15 error.
1. Remove the Cache Memory from the Google Play Store:
Many times clearing the cache and deleting data from Google Play Store as well as services of PlayStore will fix this error by following the steps below:
- Open the main menu and go to Settings.
- Find the Application Manager option.
- Select Google Play StoreApp.
- Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data.
- After this step, we have to do the same with Google Play Store Services.
- And to finish we must restart our Android device.
Once we try to remove the cache the error should be fixed, otherwise we must uninstall the updates from Google Play Store to follow the steps below.
2. Add Payment Option:
The solution to the Google Play error is to add a payment option to your Google Play account. Sometimes apps are prevented from updating due to an error verifying the payment option, so follow the steps below to add an option. Please note that you don’t need to make any payments to try this solution.
- Open Play Store.
- Tap the menu icon to the left of the search bar.
- Tap on ‘Account’.
- Tap on ‘Payment Methods’ (add a new payment method).
- Click on the green-colored ‘+’ button for the payment button.
- Follow the process to add a new payment.
3. Remove Accounts:
The df-dla-15 error may occur because you have multiple accounts connected to your Google Play store or you have one account with a possible problem. If you still have problems after following the above steps, please follow the steps below to remove all accounts and add a new one.
- Go to Settings in your app drawer.
- Search for ‘Accounts’ or ‘Accounts & Sync’ or similar and open it.
- Then click Google and follow these steps for each account on this page.
- Tap on it to open an account.
- Tap the menu icon.
- Tap on ‘Remove Account’.
- Repeat the steps for other accounts.
- Enter your PIN.
4. Uninstall Updates:
Here we are talking about Google Play Store updates. Recently updated Play Store may have compatibility issues with apps and you may get error messages.
Go to Settings > Apps > Google Play Store > Uninstall Updates. Once done, reboot your phone and remember not to update the Play Store yet. First, try downloading the same app that is causing the DF-DLA-15 error on your screen. In most cases, this method works great. It may only work sometimes, but it’s worth a try. You can always update Play Store again after the issue is fixed.
5. Clear Dalvik Cache:
Dalvik is a Java compiler on Android, which you can understand is the most basic thing that helps software run on Android. Dalvik cache is the Dalvik memory that holds lines of Java code when Android handles them. This method requires you to have root access and root explorer access. Or call 1 Name Ex File Explorer.
To clear the Dalvik cache you should follow the following steps:
- Using Ex File Explorer, open the root folder.
- Next, navigate to /data/Dalvik cache.
- Select and delete all the files in the Dalvik cache directory.
- Restart your Android device.
Finally, try reloading the app on the Play Store to see if the error still exists.
6. Turn off the SD Memory:
As a last option and if the above two methods do not work for you, you can try to disable the external memory “SD” of your mobile phone, do as follows:
- Open your phone’s main menu and go to Settings.
- Go to the Storage tab.
- There you will see an option to disable the SD card, tap on it.
- After that, we go to the Google Play Store and try to update the app which threw us the error again.
